Humanist Wedding Ceremony at Home

These guys are the bloody sweetest. From the first Skype with Brittany (her in the US and me in Bristol) I knew we were going to click. She was planning her laid back garden wedding to her other half James the following year and everything she was saying sounded so relaxed and right up my street! The day started with me with Brittany and her lovely bridesmaids, decorating the marquee in her James’ mum’s gardens and prepping for the day ahead. Brittany surprised James in the garden with a first look before they mingled with their guests, followed by their ceremony in the garden officiated by the celebrant who did their legal service in America too, which was super emotional. James is a fantastic musician so the day wouldn’t be complete without some piano playing, duets with is cousin and some fabulous violin tunes too.

The day didn’t allow for a lot of time or space for couple photos so I suggested to them that we did them another day.. so you can see those photos here! We had a brilliant time going round Shrewsbury in their wedding get up without the time constraints and made some beautiful photos….
