I blogged Alice & Dave's unique planetarium wedding last month, and just after Christmas delivered their album. These guys had asked if I could use the speeches made during the ceremony and in the evening and put them in the album too. I haven't done this before but I thought it would be such a lovely addition and would give the photographs more context and depth... So I whipped out my trusty typewriter and wrote them up on some fancy paper! I've got to say, I'm pretty pleased with these & hope they are too. As you might notice sometimes my type writer can make a little "spacing" error, which I think adds to the unique and hand typed aspect. Definitely didn't get these right first time though, it really made me grateful for the backspace key on my laptop!
Read MoreWoah, so 2015 is coming to a close. It's one of my favourites times of the year for snooping on other photographer's blogs and seeing their best images from the year - so inspiring and motivating. Every year most people comment on how quick it's gone, but for me this year has been just about the right length. I've learnt a hell of a lot, had some fantastic weddings, and really feel I've grown as a person.
Read MoreYou may have seen that a while back I did a styled shoot at At Bristol with 2 lovely sets of couples. Since then I have been dying to shoot a real wedding here and I was over the "moon" (sorry!) to be asked to shoot Alice and Dave's big day here in November.
I have to say, this wedding was very different to anything I have shot before! After the ceremony, under the stars in the wonderful planetarium, they and their guests perused the exhibits in the museum making for some very random guest candids, and some wonderfully unique bridal party shots. After me, Alice & Dave snuck off some photos in the Aquarium over the road, their guests joined them to get a private tour of the fishies with a glass of bubbles.

Despite the weather being in the minus numbers, we wrapped up in scarves and bobble hats and braved the cold to find what was actually a beautiful winter's morning. To learn a bit more about my shoots, read below, or just scroll on past to view their beautiful images.
Read MoreWalcot Hall holds a pretty special place in my heart. My parents got married there when I was about 10, then a few years later me and my friend Rosalind would jaunt around the grounds (semi-permitted) and do shoots in the arboretum. Fast forward a couple of years after that and I attended a particularly *wild* party there. Between these times my cousin got married there, and I also shot my first very wedding there aged 17. This is the first time I’ve been back to shoot since then so needless to say I was very excited to shoot somewhere that has such a nostalgic connection for me.

You have captured such happiness, thank you so, so much. They are beautiful, imaginative and exactly what we wanted! I can't believe you and Naomi had time for lunch as between you, you seem to have photographed every single guest and every single part of home. It has been a total joy going through them, seeing all our family, friends and US having SUCH a happy time." Laura & Jack
