Read MoreJust look at these two beautiful faces!! I had such a brilliant time filming and photographing Emily & Johan’s wedding in August, along with my ace second shooter Faye Green. They had a ceremony at Old Downton Lodge in the beautiful old mill room and then enjoyed some delicious canapes on the lawn before heading to their tipi reception just outside Bromfield near Ludlow.
As soon as I walked into the tipi it was so clear how much work they’d put in creating a laid back and unique space for their guests. On each table was a little picnic basket filled with goodies for their wedding breakfast, and they even had homemade wine (decorated with photos from their engagement shoot with me!) The whole day was very relaxed, and as day turned into evening and they lit the fires and the music started up it was like a proper little festival.

“Florence...there are literally no words to explain how incredibly grateful we are for the wonderful photo’s and video you have captured. We’ve watched the video at least 10 times and flicked through the all the brilliant images numerous of times. We love the slide show you created, that was a really nice touch! Even the way you packaged up the printed pictures and USB key was absolutely beautiful.
Every time we look at them we’re transported back to our magical day we had 6 weeks ago. We’ve been wishing to go back to that day ever since hit reality but now since getting all the footage back we can go back and relive every moment :)
You really are the best photographer out there and we absolutely love your work, your so accommodating, fun and just an awesome person! We’ve couldn’t have asked for a better person to capture our day for us
Thank you thank you thank you! P.S. your thank you gift is on it’s way to you!”
Read MoreWow where do I even begin with this epic wedding?! Ame & Simon did everything totally their way and I loved every minute of it. They had a Mexican food van, a bar and a tipi set up in their field and had a really chilled out and relaxed day - no speeches, no first dance, no cake cut, no table plan, no formalities! They also had their humanist ceremony on the island where they got engaged which was really special. Ame's nephew George drove everyone down in the tractor which was the coolest way I've ever travelled to a ceremony!
Read MoreWhat a wedding this was! Tara & Ross got married on the 30th December in that (usually very odd period) between Christmas and New Year. So instead of the usual gorging on left overs and watching rubbish TV I headed over to Norfolk to photograph their glorious wedding.
To say there wasn't any last minute stress with this would be a teensy lie, the weather had other plans that nearly stopped their outdoor tipi reception going ahead but luckily the skies cleared just in time and everything looked beautiful dappled with winter light.

There's a few things to consider when planning a wedding between Nov-Feb that don't apply when planning a summer weddings, especially from a photographic perspective and I wanted to write a bit about how to get the most out of your wedding day.
