“I was given the gift of a family photo shoot by my sister, my husband and I were a little apprehensive, although keen to capture a moment in time, which was a lovely one to live through with our young children. We love being outside and we met Flo at the local playground equivalent, Acton Burnell Castle! We come here regularly and this really fitted with the morning that we had with Flo.
"Do what you normally do", she said. So my 4 year old jumped on her! Unphased, she played hide and seek with us, Grandma's footsteps and generally ran around with the children, no questions asked. By some miracle (my sister's words) she also got us all looking in the same direction and smiling! A real pleasure of a morning and memories to last to boot! A total win!
We are definitely planning to see Flo again, we are just choosing the next castle to meet at! Thank you for the memories made and the memories to hold onto, you gave us both.”
When I am not out shooting gorgeous weddings or lovely couple shoots I love nothing more than taking photos of families! My approach is very similar to my wedding work; relaxed, laid-back, natural, unposed and focusing on genuine relationships and connections. I love capturing children in the fleeting moment of how they are that day, seeing family dynamics, siblings playing (and something rowing!) together and photographing the energy they all have. Katie and her family chose a place where they often go together as a family, Acton Burnall Castle, which was the perfect spot as it meant I could spend time joining in with the games they play there and putting the children (and adults!) at ease too.
