Documentary Christening Photography in Shropshire
I often get asked if I photograph other things apart from weddings and my usual answer is no, but recently I've started branching out about. What I really love photographing is anything to do with people, mostly coming together and celebrating anything and everything. You may have seen a few family shoots pop up recently on my blog as I've been doing a bit more of that in between weekend weddings, but here's a new one for you (and for me, I've never been one before!) on Sunday I was asked to capture little Elena's Christening by her parents Tom & Gemma in Much Wenlock, Shropshire.
I've really put the emphasis on capturing the smaller moments between family members and the emotions of the day, as well as the important parts of the service too. After the Christening their family and friends all congregated in the wonderfully decorated village hall behind the Church and celebrated with cake (so much cake), Pimms and some delivious grown up party food.
It was lovely to give these guys documentary photography of a christening and exciting for me to be doing something non-wedding related! Hope you enjoy having a scroll through some moments of their day.
Thank you so much for the photos, you have captured Elena's day perfectly and did a fantastic job in the church despite all the scaffolding. Love the photos of Elena's Great Grand Nannys.
Thank you again,
Best wishes,
Gemma, Tom and Elena xx
