Micro wedding in Shropshire - Alice & Tom
These guys have been on a rollercoaster with their plans, like so many of my 2020 couples! When they originally booked in 2018 the plan was a big family get together on Tom’s family’s farm back in April. Once that wasn’t possible, they looked to postpone to April 2021, and then in Autumn decided they just wanted to DO IT and get married, even with a smaller guest-list. The ceremony venue was always going to be Chirbury church, right next door to the farm and just up the road from their own house, and where both Tom & Alice spent numerous occasions together throughout the 10 years they’ve known each other.
With limits being 15 it was just immediate family for their ceremony, but so many from the village as well as their friends turned out to applaud them outside of the church from a safe distance which was just lovely. In times like this love is celebrated even harder and stronger and I love that. With no reception allowed they just had a quick bubbly with their family and then headed off for their mini-moon in Bath just the two of them.
They’ve been such an inspiration in pivoting their original plans and focusing on what’s important, and I am so honoured to have been there to capture that for them.
“it's been a few weeks since the wedding now and I can't stop looking at the 'sneak peek' pics you sent us. We honestly knew you would be amazing, but they're even better than we could have hoped for (and we haven't even seen all of them yet!) It just captures our happiness and how relaxed we were with you perfectly. We just wanted you to know how thankful we were for your ability to just blend in and the amazing skill that you have.Thank you so so much. We cannot wait to see the rest!”
