This shoot came together with a wonderful team of wedding suppliers, all working really hard to produce an alternative wedding shoot in a unique venue; At Bristol's brand new planetarium.  Bristol is now home to the UK's first 3D planetarium and I jumped at a chance to shoot there, and in their reception rooms, which are both licensed for weddings.

I really wanted this shoot to be a collaborative effort between independent wedding suppliers as a chance to showcase our skills, and produce some great marketing material for At Bristol to use in the future. For those of you not local, At Bristol is an amazing science museum for kids (and definitely adults too, check out their after hours events) in the centre of Bristol.

At Bristol wanted to promote same sex wedding couples with their photography, so the lovely Caitlin & Sophie came in.

I won't talk too much technical about the shoot but I'm really pleased we got to photography in so many different places in the venue. As you can see we used the Ceremony room indoors, the outdoor space which overlooks Millennium Square, the North balcony which has beautiful views of the Cathedral, and of course the planetarium, The planetarium was last as we only had access after it shut to the public, and I could have spent all night there playing with the stars and lighting!

Flowers: ‘Peppermint Rose Flowers’ Victoria worked really hard to pick unique flowers for the shoot that would compliment the science-y theme. I love how she used test tubes and conical flasks as vases!
Stationary: ‘Love Jones Paper’ Leanne created the wonderful Night's Sky seating plan and the beautifully calligraphed invitations and place names. She currently trades on her Etsy shop and also creates bespoke greeting cards using her typewriter Nora.
